Fractured (Lia & Lucian Trilogy)

Desire brought them together; tragedy may tear them apart...

Lucian and Lia attempt to deal with the aftermath of the violent attack on her by her stepfather. As events unfold in their lives, Lia finds that she can no longer be patient with the man that she loves, because his secrets are tearing them apart.

Lucian cannot deny the fact that he's fallen in love with the brave and beautiful woman who has lived a life of horror. He wants nothing more than to protect her, but soon realizes that he may be the person who will hurt her the most.

To be together, they'll have to fight demons from their pasts that threaten to tear them apart.

Sydney Landon wows her fans again with this second installment of this amazing NA trilogy. This take on a love story is such a different approach than what is happening in the NA genre. Both Lucian and Lia have their own demons that they are fighting, but the depths it is taken, the topics covered and the raw emotion involved stands out in a genre that seems to be blossoming very quickly.

"You're in love with her, aren't you?"
"What are you talking about?"
"I have never seen you this way over a woman. To be honest, you're a complete wreck, which we both know isn't you."

In Fractured, you get to learn so much more about the supporting cast of characters. And supporting characters is something Sydney does well! (This is why I love her Danvers series so much! You fall for the background characters so hard - you are dying for them to find their own HEA in their own book!) Aidan makes me giggle with his abrasive tone he takes with Luc, which most don't dare.

"Damn man, when did you become such a drama queen? Yeah, I'll run your company, probably better than you, but when this is over, I better get fucking Employee of the Month or shit's going to hit the fan."

And then you gave Max. I love Max. Max is this cool as a cucumber lawyer, and he finds himself bewildered.

He drops down on the couch across from me, releasing a breath. "Yeah, holy Hell, she's something else. I didn't know whether to run for my life of propose."

Which brings me to Lia's BFF, Rose. She is epic and wild - full of spunk! "I'm still your Martha,
bitch, but I'm also your Dirty Harry. Thanks to Mama and Daddy demanding equal time, I can bake and shoot with the best of them." Rose has set her sights of Max after her ex betrayed her, and I feel this is going to be one fun development to watch. They are explosively hot, but we you toss in Max's even temper - I think it will be awkward and fun.

So much in this story is still left unspoken. So many parts of their pasts still not explained, and yet JUST enough to keep me going until the final installment. If Sydney wasn't already a New York Times Best Selling author, I'd tell her she was going to be one with this series here.

As always, we will end with SHOWING OUR LADY SOME LOVE!!!!
