Rumor Has It...

Elisabeth Grace knocked this book out of the park. Hard to believe this was her first novel. The New Adult category is not one I have a lot of experience with. Elisabeth did a great job balancing the innocence we crave from Young Adult and the Hot Scenes we desire from our adult novels.

Meet Mason Nash. A hip hop star just trying to get some peace and quiet for the first time in 5 years before his hectic life picks back up. Meet, ungracefully with her face smashing onto the bathroom floor, Ellie Wagner. She is also trying to avoid the 'Limelight' (also the appropriate name of this series) Both Mason and Ellie crave anonymity for different reasons.

"I was not in this guy's league, I wasn't in the ballpark; hell, I couldn't afford tickets to watch the game." The lack of confidence Ellie owned was evident before she was even aware of who Mason was when he wasn't hiding out at a Virginia beach. Her ignorance of his status intrigued him. Neither desired something serious as they both has plans that did not involve was was to come from this electric connection. It was obvious from the first interaction the basis for a steamy fling. And this is what they agreed upon.

"A slow easy smile crept across his face. He had a dimple. Seriously? That attractive and somehow the heavens figured he needed a dimple, too?" Ellie's innocent attraction is what drew me into this whirlwind romance.

I do not want to give away details, but you have dodging cameras, meeting families, deep conversations and other deep interactions - if you catch my drift. : ) This wasn't an easy relationship to form. People were against it and situations that popped up would have easily swayed others in a different direction.

"Please. Fight. For. Us." Simple words Mason spoke, but I think it touched our hearts the same way it touched Ellie.

I am eager to read the next in the Limelight series. Amazing job Elisabeth!

  2. I did! I did! Mason is one complicated man, and Ellie is such a normal girl. Eager about her passions, ,yet strong willed and desires to be independent. :)
