Picture Perfect (Limelight #2)

Elisabeth Grace did it again with this follow-up novel in the Limelight series. Skye, a well off daughter of a politician, just wants to make a name for herself without the help of her father's name.

Landon is a young, successful businessman who wants nothing more than to build his business up and forget his chance meeting with an unforgettable bombshell in a club. Until he walks into his office and that girl is sitting in the desk of his new assistant. F**K. Both parties try to maintain their composure as they adjust to their new working relationship. It isn't as easy as either one expects.

"Mind, meet gutter. Nice to meet you, gutter. I have a feeling we'll see each other often."

Elisabeth writes the sexual tension like NO other. While you read, you can feel it all around you. The stolen glances, the half-smirks and the innuendos all seemed tangible. Elisabeth makes you feel as if you are a part of the story, not just a reader.

"Yep, I must have done something wrong in a past life because I have definitely being tested. He wore an aged pair of jeans, faded in all the right spots and hanging low on his hips. The lean muscles of his upper body were on full display in a charcoal long-sleeved shirt. Basically, he looked mouth-watering, panty-drenching good. Crap."

I love a good romance that has life-altering challenges: Ingrid was a SHOCK. Vic was the epitome of every bad relationship the reader could imagine. I applaud Elisabeth for creating situations that were not solved easily. I love how even though you know you will get your HEA, you aren't sure of the complexity of the road to get there. And then you have THAT moment. I have decided it is the "WOW" moment, when they get over all the stubborn crap and just love each other. I love that moment. Hell, I read romance after romance for THAT very moment. And this book had an EPIC "wow" moment. My favorite quote in the entire book! Worthy of several re-reads because I didn't want to miss one sweet moment of this declaration:

"I can't make any promises. I have no idea what the future holds and I've never been in a monogamous relationship before. And to be clear, that's what this would be. But I'm not going to tell you that everything will work out all right, because I don't know that. Unlike, my father, I'm not going to make promises I can't keep. What I can tell you is that I want to spend time with you. I want to find out what side of the bed you like to sleep on. I want to know where that little scar on your inner thigh came from. I want to figure out whether you're a morning person or a night owl. I want it to be me you ask what dress you should wear on a night out. I want to know how you take your coffee in the morning and what movies make you cry. I want to know everything there is to know about you...and I want you to want all those things, too."

TALK ABOUT ROMANTIC GRAND GESTURE SPEECHES! I feel like he could have been holding a boombox on his shoulder while reciting this speech outside her bedroom window! Definitely swoon-worthy!

"You're like those one-of-a-kind vintage pieces you're always searching for. Rare, precious, and if I don't snatch you up while i have the chance, you can bet someone else will."

Elisabeth first gave you Ellie and Mason, a perfect opposites attract. Then we had Skye and Landon whose power couple status is unmatched. Calder was a small supporting character in this book, and I cannot wait to see how his story plays out in the next book! Amazing job YET again Elisabeth! You have a lifelong fan in this reader!
